The White Queen
Seattle – Amazon.com, Inc. announced a content licensing agreement with Starz Digital Media that will make Prime Instant Video, the exclusive online-only subscription streaming home in the U.S. for The White Queen – the Golden Globe and Emmy nominated original miniseries from premium entertainment service provider, Starz. Prime members can now watch the miniseries as often as they would like, from the Amazon Instant Video app for TVs, connected devices and mobile devices, or online, at no additional cost to their membership. This marks the first deal of its kind between Amazon and Starz Digital Media in the U.S.
“We’re excited that Prime members can now watch and enjoy the epic miniseries, The White Queen, as part of their membership,” stated Brad Beale, Vice President of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon.
“STARZ has an outstanding collection of programming, and we’re thrilled that one of their award-nominated miniseries will be added to the great selection of exclusive movies and TV shows that are included as part of Amazon Prime.”
“With this agreement, we can bring even more viewers into the world of Philippa Gregory’s storytelling and introduce Prime members to the quality original programming found on STARZ,” said Mara Winokur, Senior Vice President, Digital at Starz. “Amazon is a great platform to showcase The White Queen and we’re excited that this new agreement allows us to continue to grow our relationship with Amazon, while expanding exposure to one of our miniseries from the growing library of programming found on the STARZ channels and services. The miniseries will also remain available on STARZ platforms.”
