Los Angeles/Sao Paolo – CBS Studios International and Brazilian broadcaster SBT announced the renewal of a licensing agreement for one of the world’s most loved game shows, Wheel Of Fortune (known as Roda a Roda in Brazil). The show will return to Brazilian television in Spring 2015 and will continue to be hosted by legendary broadcaster Silvio Santos.
The Wheel Of Fortune format in Brazil first aired as Roda a Roda in 2003, with SBT subsequently producing more than 700 episodes of the popular game show.
In the U.S., Wheel Of Fortune is the longest-running syndicated game show on television, with more than 6,000 episodes produced since its launch in 1983. The syndicated series’ 32nd season premiered in the U.S. in September 2014.
