London – Sports media rights agency MP & Silva ended 2014 on a high with its Founding Partner, Riccardo Silva, being awarded the ‘Best Media Executive’ at the Globe Soccer Awards 2014 held at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai.
The annual prestigious awards ceremony recognises the best in the football industry for their contributions, and Silva was the inaugural winner for the ‘Best Media Executive’ award, as the category was included for the first time. The other categories also included ‘Best Player of The Year’ (Cristiano Ronaldo), ‘Best Club of the Year’ (Real Madrid), ‘Best Coach of the Year; (Carlo Ancelotti), ‘Best Agent of the Year’ (Jorge Mendes) and the first-ever ‘Best Referee of the Year’ (Nicola Rizzoli) amongst many other awards celebrating an exciting year of football.

The sixth edition of the football event was graced by football industry players such as UEFA’s President Michel Platini, and General Secretary Giovanni Infantino, representatives of AC Milan and Real Madrid FC, UEFA’s Chief refereeing officer Pierluigi Collina, Head of FIFA Refereeing Massimo Busacca and many more.
Previous awards includes football personalities on and off the football pitch, such as Franck Ribéry, Diego Armando Maradona, Alessandro del Piero, Rob Jansen and Antonio Conte who have been awarded for their contributions as players, coaches or for their achievements in the football industry. Football clubs, such as Barcelona FC, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been honoured before at the Global Soccer Awards.
