London – Content Television, a division of Content Media Corporation, announced two significant promotions as it continues to expand its presence in the U.S. and internationally, with Saralo MacGregor widening her role to include US Acquisitions and Development, alongside Jonathan Ford taking the lead on the Distributor’s Worldwide Sales.
In her new role as Executive Vice President, Acquisitions, Development & Sales, MacGregor, who is based in LA, is charged with acquiring and developing content in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, MacGregor will continue to lead the company’s sales to Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
The move is in line with the group’s overall strategy of expanding its activity in the U.S. by working with leading producers in the territory to source and distribute high profile fiction and non-fiction properties to the international market. MacGregor‘s remit will include building on the company’s recent activity in the U.S., which includes first look deals with transatlantic drama and comedy specialist, Caryn Mandabach Productions and Edyson Entertainment in Los Angeles and Toronto.
Formerly Executive Vice President, Worldwide Distribution, MacGregor joined Content Television (formerly Fireworks International) in 2001 from NBC International where she held the role of VP International Sales. Prior to this Saralo held roles at Warner Bros., Turner International and the Samuel Goldwyn Company.
Jonathan Ford, who previously managed the company’s EMEA television sales and oversaw worldwide digital and on-demand sales, is also upped to the position of Executive Vice President, Sales & Distribution. Based in London, Jonathan now oversees worldwide sales across the Content Television and Content Digital divisions. Prior to joining Content in 2006, Jonathan worked for Sony Pictures Television International as Director Digital Initiatives.
Both positions report to Greg Phillips, President at Content Television & Digital.
Greg Phillips, President, Content Television & Digital, commented, “We are delighted to see Jonathan expand his role by taking the reins on our worldwide sales – his knowledge, experience and energy in the international market will be vital as we build on our success in 2015. Saralo’s new role is pivotal to the growth of our television and digital library. Her deep understanding of what programming resonates worldwide; as well as her strong relationships in the U.S. and beyond are invaluable as we expand and develop our partnerships with leading independent producers across the U.S. and Canada.”
