Let Hoi Decide (De Mai Tinh2)
Seoul, Korea– CJ E&M-Vietnam co-produced film, Let Hoi Decide (De Mai Tinh2) has become the biggest box office hit in Vietnam announced by CJ E&M. Its ticket sales reached $3.85 million on 30 December, 2014, beating the record of the previous megahit film TEO EM.
In 2015, CJ E&M is expected to further carry out co-production projects with partners in Vietnam. The company aims to distribute at least ten films and produce two to three local films every year. As part of the project, another Korea-Vietnam co-produced film 3 Girls is scheduled to be released in the first half of this year.
Previously, CJ E&M partnered with Vietnam Television (VTV) and co-produced Forever Young, the first Korea-Vietnam co-produced TV drama. Its premiere on 17 December ranked No. 1 with 4.41% ratings among local prime time TV shows.
“As entertainment industry in Vietnam has grown rapidly, we will continue to closely work with local partners to boost cultural ties between Korean and Vietnam through creative entertainment content,” said Mike Suh, Head of Global Business at CJ E&M.
