Singapore – This year’s Asian Television Awards spelled big wins for FOX International Channels (FIC) Asia as it garnered multiple awards for its programmes across several categories.
FIC Asia’s presence was strong, receiving top-tier awards for its programmes across several categories. I Wouldn’t Go In There, a new factual series created in Asia for National Geographic Channel (NGC) exploring the history behind haunted stories, was well recognised with the Best Infotainment Programme award for its Philippines: Haunted Hospital episode and was also highly commended in the Best Direction category for Hong Kong: Haunted School. Meanwhile also on NGC, Access 360°World Heritage Series 2 won the Best Direction award as well as Best Editing for the Sagrada Familia and Angkor Wat episodes, respectively. Due of its impressive wins, NGC also gained Highly Commended recognition in the Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year category.
Out of 239 nominees across 13 countries in the region, FIC Asia received nominations for 13 awards across multiple categories with high-quality original programmes produced not only in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia but also Taiwan and India. Recognition for the company’s entertaining and smartly targeted programming proves FIC Asia’s commitment to bringing television of the highest quality to viewers across the region.
