Pati Jinich
Beyond Distribution is set to introduce Pati Jinich to worldwide audiences with the launch of Pati’s Mexican Table at NATPE. This cooking series, produced by Follow Productions, is now in its fourth season on Public Television in the U.S.
Born and raised in Mexico City, host Jinich is a former Latin American policy analyst turned chef, cooking teacher and food writer. Jinich has a best-selling cookbook of the same name and is a familiar face on U.S. shows such as NBC’s Today Show and ABC’s The Chew. She has also been invited to cook at the White House for President Barack Obama and for dignitaries at the Blair House.
The television series Pati’s Mexican Table brings authentic Mexican flavours, colours and traditions into viewers’ homes. Jinich shares the tastes of her childhood and culinary adventures in her native country. She takes viewers on road trips through the country’s diverse regions to explore the stories and people behind the cuisine. This series invites cooks of all stripes, from any part of the world, to be creative in their own kitchens.
Sherry Fynbo, SVP Sales Americas for Beyond Distribution, commented, “We are very excited to start selling Pati’s Mexican Table around the world. The marketplace has plenty of room for another female chef and Pati is fabulous talent. We wanted something ethnically diverse and Mexican food is fascinating and delicious!”
Gordon Elliot, CEO of Follow Productions, added, “Pati’s secret is her “crossover” appeal. Her kitchen karma explodes off the screen whether you want tortillas or tortellini. She hits every note.”
