SBS has renewed its archive subscription agreement with ITN Source, enabling their producers to search, view and download high quality independent footage direct from ITN Source’s expansive video archive.
Territory Sales Manager Caroline Clarke said, “ITN Source are proud to have been working with SBS since 2005 and with an exclusive subscription agreement since 2013 which has enhanced a number of their productions over that time.”
SBS productions that have used ITN Source archive material include Dateline, Living Black, Black Panther Woman, Australia Secret Heroes, Tales of the Unexpected, and Colour Theory for NITV.
ITN Source is renowned for its ability to offer distinctive regional footage on a global scale, representing a multitude of internationally renowned archives including ITN, ITV Studios, Reuters (including historic newsreels such as British Paramount, Universal, Gaumont, Empire News and Viz News), Fox News, Fox Movietone, Asian News International and many other specialist collections.
ITN Source is heavily invested in the preservation of the world’s history on film, uncovering new, rare and never seen before footage to enhance TV, film and digital media projects around the world.
ITN Source has over 2.7 million archive news clips, programmes and film titles available online, representing almost 500,000 hours of footage dating back to 1896. It also continues to digitise over 20 hours of additional archive material every day.
