Mexico City, Mexico – Azteca announced that its hit interactive talent show La Academia Kids is set to open doors for talented children in Indonesia.
Free to air network SCTV is set to commence production of a localised version of La Academia Kids. This notable format created and developed by Azteca seeking to discover the next big musical star of tomorrow and develop their musical talents is set to air on September 8. The fifteen week competition will feature a 30-minute daily programme at 6pm devoted to following up on the children’s progress and watching them prepare for the week’s concert that will take place on Saturdays at 7pm.
After selecting 18 contestants with no professional artistic experience La Academia Kids over four months trains them in various artistic fields including singing and dancing. A camera crew captures their everyday lives living within a boarding school regime so they can focus on improving their musical skills in the presence of their mothers. At the end of each week during a live concert the judges vote for their favourite contestant and the one with the least votes is eliminated.
Since its launch in 2013 La Academia Kids has become a phenomenal hit and the number one entertainment show in Mexico, instantly achieving top ratings every Saturday night beating its primetime competitors.
