New York – Fashion One, the premiere fashion, entertainment and lifestyle international broadcaster, embraces the chilly season with the latest instalment of its Top 10 series, the Top 10 Trends Autumn Winter 2014. The fashion network’s special feature will highlight the trendiest styles from the Autumn Winter collections of the world’s top designers. What are the ‘must haves’ this season? Join us on our countdown!

Say goodbye to summer and glam up your fall/winter style with a brand new look. From the red carpet to the catwalks and soon to be found cruising the streets, Autumn Winter 2014 collections offers a varied array of design styles. From statement coats to decade pieces, as well as fairytale inspired designs, the possibilities are endless. The offerings for fall and winter are anything but boring and will guarantee to make you stand out.

Are you ready to be “hairy”? Topping the list for the most visible trend this season are the “hairy” accents. From furs, feathers, fuzz, fringe and other embellishments, this fixture are found on coats, sleeves, scarves, head-gears, collars and hand bags in the designers’ collections. In Milan, Fendi went all out adding maw hawk-like accents on the neck and shoulders of his futuristic sci-fi collection. Roberto Cavalli not only had models parade in hairy furs, but sister brand, Just Cavalli, featured many hairy pieces that included handbags, collars, shoes, jackets, vests and more. In New York, Prabal Garung, who probably had the hairiest collection of all, was inspired by Nepalese nomads in his usual well crafted and fashion forward pieces. Overall, designers certainly impressed us with their creative takes on this bold and eye-catching trend, making it the number 1 fashion must have for the season.
