Melbourne – Australia’s ABC3 has acquired Galaxy Pop’s award winning animated series Get Ace.

The deal continues a debut on Network TEN’s Channel Eleven in Australia, where Get Ace took first place in animation ratings and became one of the networks top performing shows.
The new toon follows the adventures of hapless geek Ace McDougal who, after being accidentally fitted with a pair of hi-tech super-spy braces, finds himself thrown into a world of espionage and adventure.

Get Ace is the latest creation from show runners Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, co-founders of the production company, Galaxy Pop. Young viewers have certainly taken to the series, with many already sharing their own memes, fan art and dedications to the shows characters and stories in forums and social media posts.
The series has just taken first prize for Best Animation at the Australian Writers Guild, AWGIE Awards. 9 Story Entertainment recently picked up worldwide distribution rights for the series (excluding Australia and New Zealand).
Get Ace is set to air later this year on ABC3.
