London – Endemol announced on July 23 that it is entering into an exclusive first-look development and distribution deal with UK drama producer Mam Tor Productions Limited.
The three-year deal will see Endemol provide development funding and deficit financing in return for exclusive first-look distribution rights on Mam Tor Productions output.
Mam Tor Productions Limited was set up in April this year by Tally Garner who previously spent over a decade working as a Film and TV agent at Curtis Brown, before setting up and running the agency’s in-house production company, Cuba Pictures, as Head of Film and TV. There, she produced Boy A, winner of five television BAFTA awards and Broken, which won Best Film at the BIFA’s; exec-produced London Road based on the acclaimed National Theatre play and most recently BBC One’s seven part adaptation of bestselling novel Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.
