Commenting on the company’s new partnership with Magna Systems and Engineering Tedial Sales Director David Abel said, “Tedial and Magna Systems are independent companies that share a set of common business values and approach to the market. Both companies are leaders in their field and focus on building lasting relationships with their customers and partners to provide the best business and operational benefits in the solutions proposed. It is these values that are exhibited in the competence, expertise and experience of the Magna team, which will drive success for both companies in the Asian market.”
Magna Systems and Engineering Director – Asia Operations Patrick So added, “We are delighted to have such a unique, talented and forward thinking company as Tedial as one of our new partners. Tedial solutions are truly cutting edge and the media asset management opportunities they present our customers in the Asia Pac region are significant. Tedial is hosting two workshops at Broadcast Asia on June 20 at Marina Bay Sands. The Tedial team will be on Magna Systems stand for Happy Hour drinks on 18 June from 5-6pm.
Magna’s second new principal is file transfer solutions specialist FileCatalyst. Founded in 2000 FileCatalyst has more than one thousand clients and a user base of over one million. The company provides software-based solutions designed to accelerate and optimise file transfers across global networks. Being immune to packet loss and latency, FileCatalyst can send files much faster than methods such as FTP, HTTP or CIFS, while adding security and reliability.
So commented, “FileCatalyst is a very clever solution and much faster than many others. Their FileCatalyst Direct point-to-point file transfer solution offers unique features by installing the FileCatalyst Server and FileCatalyst client-side options. As FileCatalyst is at both endpoints this provides a superior file transfer experience. They are a very welcome addition to the family of solutions that Magna Systems offers in Asia Pac, particularly in the ever-increasing world of data usage and transfer.”
The third new principal signing for Magna Systems at Broadcast Asia is Media Excel, the company currently setting the standard for adaptive bitrate multi-screen video transcoding solutions. Media Excel boast some impressive statistics as from the head-end to the edge and through the cloud, the company’s n-Screen solutions power live mobile TV viewing for more than 18 million viewers daily in the USA alone.
So added, “Media Excel specialises in multi-screen encoding/transcoding, cloud-based multi-screen encoding/transcoding and point-to-point encoding/decoding. This is what they do and do very well indeed. As Magna Systems is asked more and more for cloud-based solutions in this space it’s Media Excel who delivers them. We are very happy to have them on board.”
This year’s Broadcast Asia sees Magna Systems and Engineering and its principals demonstrating proven solutions, workflows and systems integration expertise across 4K acquisition, management and broadcast, file-based workflows, multi-platform, OTT and cloud-based solutions.
