A Prime Group (France), Flare Media (the Netherlands) and HMO (Turkey) have all acquired the rights to Armoza’s new interactive studio game show Who’s Asking?, which was launched at MIPTV.
Turkey, France and Holland are growing territories for Armoza, with Turkish broadcasters airing other popular game shows from the distributor including hit game shows Still Standing and Upgrade, while France’s Canal+ has recently aired the highly acclaimed drama Hostages, and the Netherland’s Ned3 yesterday went on air with their first season of factual show Couch Diaries.
Who’s Asking?
Named a Fresh Format at the WIT, Who’s Asking? (30 x 60′) is the fresh game show that is not just about what questions the participants must answer, but who is asking them. Whether it’s the bus driver, your doctor, or a streetwise grandma – each has a question for the contestants. In a game show where looks do matter, the contestants must follow their intuition to compete for the grand prize. Who’s Asking? was developed by United Studios of Israel, producers of factual ‘help-o-tainment’ format House Call, which was recently commissioned by China’s CCTV, and fun ambush game show Special Delivery, currently on air on Brazil’s Rede Record.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats said, “Who’s Asking? brings a new face to studio game shows. The questions in this interactive format are not the typical ones you would expect to hear – rather they are candid, and often surprising, questions from the people on the street.Who’s Asking? taps in to how well we can really judge someone – and what they know – just by looking at them, and wraps this up in a fun and exciting game show.”
