Washington, DC – National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has announced two new World War II co-productions: WWII’s Greatest Raids (6 x 60’) produced by Impossible Factual and distributed by Cineflix Rights, and the special Nazi Death Camp: The Great Escape from Darlow Smithson Productions. Slated to air this fall on NGCI in 171 countries and 45 languages, these shows exemplify the network’s commitment to telling powerful and important stories.
Some of the most astonishing Special Forces operations and other daring assaults changed the tide of history during WWII. WWII’s Greatest Raids uses cutting edge CGI, expert forensic analysis and first-person testimony from the men who made history to capture these incredible stories of strategy, bravery and iron resolve on the battlefield. Nazi Death Camp: The Great Escape offers a riveting account of the bloody break out of Jewish prisoners forced to work as slave labourers at Sobibor, a Nazi Death Camp in Poland, as some of the last remaining survivors shed light on their extraordinary acts of courage and determination.

Nazi Death Camp: The Great Escape – October 14, 1943 marked a day that shook the Nazi party to its core, when the Jewish prisoners at Sobibor, a Nazi death camp in Poland, staged a bloody break out. Through brutally honest dramatisations and compelling first hand testimony, this riveting special travels back with some of the last remaining survivors to reveal their extraordinary stories of courage, desperation and determination.
