Tokyo, Japan – WOWOW, Japan’s premium pay-TV broadcaster, announced on April 25 that it has entered into an agreement to broadcast the 2014 Tony Awards show live, exclusively on WOWOW.

The 2014 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on June 8, 8pm-11pm (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. CBS is broadcasting the awards show in the U.S.

Securing the rights to broadcast the Tony Awards continues WOWOW’s dominance in carrying the most prestigious entertainment award shows. The company is already Japan’s official broadcaster of the Oscars and Grammy awards shows.
