Set in idyllic locations, the story of Caribbean Flower has already conquered the markets of Latin America and Asia. Licensed to ten countries – Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, El Salvador, Chile, Ecuador, as well as South Korea – the story is one of the highlights that Globo is taking to MIPTV 2014.
Caribbean Flower tells the story of love and adventure between an Air Force fighter squadron pilot, Cassiano (Henri Castelli, Gabriela) and a tour guide, Ester (Grazi Massafera, Pages of Life). The two have been in love since they were just kids, but everything changes when the couple suffers a blow of betrayal from Alberto (Igor Rickli), a false friend who manages to get his rival out of the way and fulfil his secret dream: to marry Ester.

The story, which went on the air in Brazil during access primetime and attained an average of 25 rating points and a 50% share (Source: Ibope), shows how Cassiano, presumed dead, reappears and confronts the most difficult obstacles to recover the life and the love that were stolen from him.
The beautiful footage of dunes, salt flats, and beaches which compose the telenovela were filmed in Rio Grande do Norte, in the Northeast of Brazil. The production team also sought out locations in Guatemala, with its setting of exuberant forests.
Caribbean Flower is a telenovela from Walter Negrão, author of Destiny River. It was nominated for the 2012 International Emmy Award, and features talented actors such as Juca de Oliveira, Débora Nascimento, Thiago Martins, and Bruno Gissoni (Brazil Avenue), and Daniela Escobar (The Clone), among others. The show also relied on the participation of foreign interpreters Moro Anghileri and Jean Pierre Noher, of Argentina, and Cesar Troncoso, of Uruguay.
