Joyce Yeung has been appointed to the newly created role of EVP Global Content Sales as BBC Worldwide looks to build on its continuing success in TV sales and targets future growth.
Based in London, Yeung will have overall responsibility for ensuring that BBC Worldwide’s TV sales teams drive the maximum benefit from the company’s increased investment in content. She will represent sales in the content planning and acquisition process, working closely with the genre teams, territory leadership and brands and content acquisition teams.

As Yeung moves to London, David Weiland will take up the role of EVP Asia following his successful tenure as EVP Western Europe.

Joerg Bachmaier, EVP International Production, will take over as interim EVP Western Europe before moving back to the United States for BBC Worldwide. Joerg brings a wealth of experience to the role and his knowledge of the business will ensure continuity in the Western Europe team. A recruitment process to replace Weiland will now begin.
