Philippines – HBO Asia launched its broadband streaming service, HBO GO, in the Philippines on March 10, exclusively on SKYcable. This is the second territory in Asia where HBO GO is available, the first being Hong Kong.
HBO GO’s broadband streaming service allows users to enjoy over 1,000 hours of uncut award-winning HBO and CINEMAX Original content on multiple devices including computers, tablets and smartphones (iOS and Android) anywhere, anytime. Subscribers of HBO GO will be the first to watch critically acclaimed HBO and CINEMAX original series such as Game of Thrones, True Detective, Girls, Veep and Strike Back, 12 hours after they premiere in the U.S., even before they air on HBO.
HBO GO – About the Episode
HBO GO enables subscribers unlimited access to an extensive library of original movies, concerts, documentaries, and series including complete seasons of all-time favorites like Sex and the City, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, The Sopranos, and Entourage, or discover acclaimed titles like Angels in America and John Adams. Special behind-the-scenes content of productions such as Boardwalk Empire, True Blood and Banshee is also available exclusively on HBO GO.
“HBO GO is a versatile service enabling subscribers to maximise their HBO experience across multiple devices, whether at home or on the move. Available exclusively to SKYcable in the Philippines, subscribers of HBO GO can enjoy watching over 1,000 hours of quality HBO Original content 12 hours after U.S. telecast. This helps combat piracy and gives subscribers an opportunity to catch the newest episodes of their favorite HBO shows earlier,” said Jonathan Spink, Chief Executive Officer, HBO Asia.
