Singapore – The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia announced on February 10 the appointment of Alex Baillie as Executive Director, Media Solutions, reporting to Amit Malhotra, General Manager, Disney Media Distribution, The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia.
“Disney Media Solutions creates promotional and advertising solutions for like-minded brands, helping them connect with kids and families through our best in class brands and assets. Being familiar with the Disney brand and having worked in similar roles at Disney Europe, Alex will bring fresh, innovative insight and creative strategies to our SEA team and will be a vital player in further strengthening relationships with our valued business partners here,” said Malhotra.
With over 13 years of sales and consulting experience, Alex Baillie is no stranger to Disney, having joined the company in 2008 as Director, International & Digital based in London. During his five year stint there, Alex was charged with the responsibility of managing relationships with some of Disney’s largest commercial partners across all Disney owned properties and platforms including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Disneyland, Disney Stores, Disney Channel, Mobile, Digital and Social, before being transferred to Singapore to take this role.

Prior to joining Disney EMEA in 2008, Alex worked in various sales and promotional roles at Unianimis Consulting, Citywire.co.uk and The Daily Telegraph. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK.
