David Ellender stepped down from his position as CEO of FremantleMedia International in early August this year. Following the announcement, Jens Ritcher will be appointed as new CEO of FremantleMedia International.

Previously, Ellender was in charge of overseeing FremantleMedia’s new global distribution and Kids & Family Entertainment division. Ellender left the company after spending twelve years at the helm.

FremantleMedia has released a statement regarding the appointment of Jens Richter as CEO:

“We can confirm that Jens Richter will be joining FremantleMedia to take up the position of CEO, FremantleMedia International. Jens is an outstanding and dynamic executive with extensive knowledge and experience of the international distribution market and we are really excited to welcome him to the team. Jens will be joining us when he completes his contract with Red Arrow. In the meantime, our talented team of regional Executive Vice Presidents, made up of Jamie Lynn, Lisa Honig and Paul Ridley, will continue to run the day-to-day sales business with oversight from FremantleMedia International’s COO Bob McCourt.”
