Passion Distribution’s new programming, launched at MIPCOM, has proven popular with TVNZ, which has signed a large package deal for a number of hit shows. TVNZ has licensed the new Mentorn Media series Hotel of Mum and Dad (6 x 60’), produced for BBC Three, and two new shock docs from fellow Tinopolis Group company Firecracker Films, Diary of a Teenage Virgin (1 x 60’) and Men in Rubber Masks (1 x 60’), both produced for Channel 4. TVNZ has also licensed Dynamo: Magician Impossible Season 4 (4 x 60’), originally produced for Watch, following the ratings success it has seen running the first three seasons.
New Zealand’s commercial network MediaWorks has licensed all three seasons of Mentorn Media’s extreme footage clip show World’s Scariest (Season 1-3: 12 x 60’) for its general entertainment channel TV3. Finally, Country TV has picked the Scripps Networks International show Farm Kings (23 x 60’).
Nick Tanner, Sales Manager for the region, said “New Zealand is an important market for Passion Distribution. It’s fantastic that a wide range of standout titles are finding homes across free and pay platforms.”
