Tokyo – From October 2013, the 24-hour broadcast of NHK WORLD TV has commenced on TrueVisions, the largest satellite and cable TV operator in Thailand. This will enable number of households capable of viewing NHK WORLD TV to quadruple from 300,000 to approximately 1,300,000, and its service area will extend throughout Thailand.

In addition, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of resuming its Thai language service, NHK’s international radio service NHK WORLD RADIO JAPAN will hold a live programme recording in Bangkok on November 23, 2013.
