Ahead of MIPCOM 2013, SBS International has secured a raft of sales from their new slate of food titles exploring cuisines from Thailand, Mexico, France and more.
Marion’s Thailand (10 x 30′) – which aired locally on Foxtel’s LifeStyle Food channel, has been sold to the Food Network (UK, Poland and EMEA) and Discovery Asia whilst Luke Nguyen’s France (10 x 30′) and Mexican Fiesta with Peter Kuruvita (10 x 30′) have both been sold to UK TV’s Good Food channel.
Marion’s Thailand
These titles join new shows Destination Flavour: Japan (10 x 30′) and This is Brazil! (12 x 30′) a lifestyle travelogue series in the lead-up to the 2014 World Cup.
Marion’s Thailand follows the favourite Masterchef Australia finalist on a culinary journey back to her roots of Thailand;much-loved SBS chef Luke Nguyen returns with his fifth series, journeying to discover the Vietnamese influence on French cuisine; and chef Peter Kuruvita explores in his 3rd series the undiscovered foods and cultures of Mexico.
SBS International has also secured sales for favourite returning food series’, including all three series of Gourmet Farmer (30 x 30′) to Campagne TV in France, Shane Delia’s Spice Journey (10 x 30′) to Discovery Asia, and Ask The Butcher (10 x 30′), sold to Chello Central Europe and Li TV (Asia).
