Nippon Television Corp.’s drama, Woman -My Life for My Children- has won this year’s MIPCOM  BUYERS’ AWARD for Japanese Drama. The award ceremony took place at MIPCOM. 

The winner is chosen from seven dramas nominated by participating broadcasters. The selecting committee consists of 14 international buyers who are recommended by MIPCOM.

The award is being held for the fifth occasion this year. It was established in 2009 as one of the collaborative projects with MIPCOM. The ceremony took place as a part of an event titled “J-CREATIVE PARTY” which promotes the concept of “Cool Japan” in conjunction with Japanese entertainment contents and Japanese food at Majestic Hotel Cannes on the second night of MIPCOM.

Many broadcasters and buyers from various countries attended the event. The winning work was announced by Ms. Virginia Mouseler (France), chairperson of the selecting committee.

 

Mr. Kimio Maruyama representing the Nippon Television Network Corp., came on to the stage to receive the trophy.
