Los Angeles – Basic Lead has announced a major new initiative to welcome programming and acquisitions executives to DISCOP ISTANBUL, one of its two flagship regional events, set to take place from March 4-6, 2014. Qualified content buyers representing TV Stations, pay-TV operators, online and mobile distribution platforms will be offered a complimentary three-night hotel package if they register by November 8, 2013.

“This initiative reinforces our two-decade old tradition to thank content buyers for their loyalty, offer them a great selection of international content under one roof and host great parties and matchmaking opportunities,” says Rustam Kasymov, Basic Lead’s Registration Manager, who adds, “This fantastic incentive will also facilitate the advance planning of meetings between sellers and buyers who register early”.

More than 250 international exhibiting sellers will be taking part including a major contingent of Turkish producers of drama series and formats, alongside national pavilions representing France, the UK, Malaysia, Korea and South-Africa.

The general agenda will also include a showcase of international multi-platform series that transition between online and traditional TV, a series of breakfast keynotes and the DISCOPRO programme, which is aimed at independent content producers and includes matchmaking sessions, pitching competitions and a conference track dedicated to alternative content funding opportunities.
