New York – Kickboxing league GLORY has announced its final event of the calendar year, Glory 13, featuring a televised one-night, Welterweight World Championship Tournament, taking place at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan on December 21, 2013.
GLORY’s Welterweight World Championship Tournament will feature the top-ranked kickboxers at 77kg, including GLORY’s No. 1 Ranked Welterweight fighter, Nieky Holzken of the Netherlands.
To emerge as the GLORY Champion, given the 4-man tournament structure, a combatant will need to fight and win two bouts in the same night.
While the Welterweight World Championship Tournament will be a focal point of the night, other headline fights will be featured alongside a taping of the GLORY SuperFights Series. Local undercard fights are still to be announced. GLORY has conducted two other events in Japan in its two-year history.
