Singapore-born finalist Audra Morrice received a warm welcome at Lifetime Asia’s MasterChef trade event on August 16, 2013, held at Senor Taco at CHIJMES.

At the event, Audra said she’s a self-confessed “Char Kway Teow” person, reflecting her heritage and her preference from Southeast Asian food despite now residing in Australia. Audra’s Asian influences can clearly be seen on MasterChef Australia, where we wowed her judges with Asian-inspired fare. In a recent group challenge, where Audra was chosen as team captain to “run” a make-shift restaurant, despite not winning the challenge, Audra impressed the judges with her choice of main dish – Beef Rendang.

Michele Schofield, Senior Vice President, Programming and Marketing, tells TV ASIA Plus that the following few months will see more MasterChef Australia fare coming to viewers across Southeast Asia. Following S4 will be MasterChef Australia All-Stars which premieres September 9, 2013, and that will be followed by MasterChef Australia S5 which is currently airing in Australia.
