Kuala Lumpur – Life Inspired presents an original production, Tastemakers, this Merdeka, as a tribute to Malaysia’s 56th year since gaining Independence. In celebration of all things Malaysian, the show looks at 8 inspiring Malaysians and how they epitomize success in a 30-minute special feature.
The channel has brought in RHB Bank as the main sponsor for the long-form programme in conjunction with the Bank’s 100th anniversary celebration. In collaboration with August Man Magazine, Jessica Magazine and CapitalFM, Life Inspired handpicked 8 Malaysians who are trendsetters in their own fields. The 30-minute feature, with 2-minute profile vignettes, feature singer-songwriter Yuna Zarai; fashion headband designers Sereni and Shentel; interior designer Omar Khan; fashion designer Priscilla Shunmugam; F&B king Benjamin Yong; business maestro Joel Neoh; performing arts guru Low Ngai Yuen and graphic designer-turned cupcake entrepreneur Ifzan Ibrahim.

Anne Chan, General Manager of Life Inspired said, “We are extremely proud to present the Tastemakers to celebrate Malaysian game changers during the Merdeka month. Their energy, passion and entrepreneurial spirit is truly inspiring especially many of them have achieved so much at a young age. For some of them, their success has gone international; like Yuna, Joel, and Sereni & Shentel. It’s exciting to see what they can achieve in the next few years. The world is their oyster!”
To top off the celebration of these Malaysian success stories, Life Inspired will host an intimate appreciation dinner with RHB Bank to celebrate the Tastemakers and their achievements. DoubleTree Kuala Lumpur by Hilton is the venue partner to this exclusive one-night only event. This event is part of Life Inspired’s brand testament, philosophy and identity – showcasing inspiring Asian stories to viewers around the region.
