Pinewood Studios and Seven Stars Media have announced the appointment of Malcolm Wall, who will lead its new joint venture company in China, called Song Lin. The joint venture agreement, which was announced in April 2013, was established to assess various business proposals in the growing Chinese entertainment market including the provision of co-production opportunities for film and television producers and creation of film-themed projects. Malcolm will be based in China to establish a project team and oversee the launch of the business. His appointment commenced July 8, 2013.
Wall was previously Chief Executive, Content of Virgin Media, Chief Operating Officer at United Business Media plc and most recently Chief Executive Officer and then Advisor to the Board at Abu Dhabi Media.
