Singapore – HBO Asia will be working with Astro and regional voice talents to air the Asian television premiere of MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED on Hari Raya Puasa with Bahasa Melayu and English audio options.

Regional celebrities cast include Malaysian singer Hafiz Suip as Alex the Lion; Singaporean singer Taufik Batisah as Marty the Zebra; Malaysian actor and TV host Fahrin Ahmad as Melman the Giraffe; Malaysian actress and TV host Lisa Surihani as Gloria the Hippo and Singaporean host and musician Najip Ali as Julien the Lemur. Bruneian singer Jazz Hassan and Malaysian singer Hazama Ahmad Azmi will voice the penguins Private and Skipper.

The movie will also feature the voices of Malaysian actress Nabila Huda as Gia the Jaguar; Malaysian actor and producer Hafizuddin Fadzil as Vitaly the Tiger; Malaysian host and actress Didie Alias as Dubois; Malaysian TV host and actor Farish Aziz as Mort; Radio ERA’s Zahid (Zahid Baharuddin), Ray (Shah Reza Mohd Shah), Adi (Adifashla Juraimi) and Haniff (Haniff Hamzah), as Maurice, Stefano the Sea Lion, Jonesy and Comandante; while HITZ FM’s Rizal (Rizal Sahimy) lends his voice to Freddie.

Some members of the media will also be joining the voiceover line-up: Faridul Anwar from New Straits Times and Elrafaei Sapi from Harian Metro as the Security Guard and the Mayor respectively; along with top entertainment bloggers Budi Isma of Budiey.com as the Italian Cop and Nazuwan Ahmad of BeautifulNara.com as the French Cop.

“HBO is adding a dash of glamour to our localised offering this festive season as popular celebrities from around the region voice the colorful characters of MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED in Bahasa Melayu,” said Jacelyn Kek, Head, Sales and Affiliate Marketing at HBO Asia. “We’re certainly grateful for Astro’s strong support in helping this massive project materialise.”

A three-day roadshow will take place in Malaysia, leading up to the movie premiere, where visitors can meet mascots from the movie, participate in fun activities and stand to win attractive prizes. Some of the celebrity Bahasa Melayu voice talents of MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED will also make appearances at the event.
