Singapore – BBC World News has announced it is focusing on two Southeast Asian countries in upcoming Country Direct seasons. BBC World News will debut the Vietnam Direct and Singapore Direct in August and October, respectively. 

For both Country Direct seasons, flagship shows such as Working Lives, My City and Talking Movies will film specials that take a more focused look at the economic, social, cultural and political aspects in these countries. Recent Country Direct seasons have focused on Croatia, Mozambique, Canada, Georgia, Ecuador and Qatar.

Vietnam Direct will air on BBC World News from August 19 to 31, 2013, while Singapore Direct will air from October 21 to November 1, 2013.
