Singapore – AXN and Bangkok Airways have announced the winner of their ‘Sing Your Way to Los Angeles (LA)’ contest. Novabelle Ng, 23, from Singapore, who clinched the coveted spot with her rich vocals, will enjoy a three-day, two-night all expenses paid trip with a friend to watch The Voice Season 4 live.
As part of the contest which ended on 26 May 2013, participants were tasked to create a tune to a set of given lyrics, record an audio clip of themselves performing, and send it in to AXN.
Said Mr. Jack Lim, Vice President of Advertising Sales and Marketing, Networks, Asia, Sony Pictures Television, “The high quality of responses we received for the ‘Sing Your Way to Los Angeles’ contest speaks to the popularity of The Voice and the success of Bangkok Airways’ campaign on AXN Asia. We are proud to have worked closely with the region’s leading boutique airline in bringing The Voice experience to life for both fans of the airline and the channel.”
Added Ms Nandhika Varavarn, Vice President – Corporate Communication, “Bangkok Airways is delighted to be associated with The Voice. We believe that life should be one thrilling adventure and as a boutique airline, we live to deliver it. This year, we celebrated our 45th anniversary, and as part of the celebrations, we are pleased to work with AXN to deliver one of life’s biggest moments – the priceless opportunity to watch The Voice live in Los Angeles!”
In 2012, The Voice clinched four Emmy nods and was the only music reality series to be nominated in the category, breaking American Idol’s consecutive ten-year position on the ballot. In 2011, the vocal talent reality series first made waves in the entertainment industry with its refreshing approach to discovering musical talent – by having the four judges on spinning red chairs, facing away from the talent so that they can rely solely on their ears. Now in its fourth season, the highly popular reality series has managed to remain fresh and relevant to its fans, by bringing on board R&B superstar Usher and Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, while Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green go on a brief hiatus.
