Tom Keaveny, President and Managing Director for Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, will be moving to the newly created role of President of International Affiliate Sales for Discovery Networks International (DNI), based in London. He will assume his new role on September 1, 2013.
Keaveny’s new position will see him head up the company’s global affiliate sales strategy, as well as take on the role of Chief Executive Officer of Discovery’s Joint Sales Organisation, which manages affiliate sales efforts for DNI in Western Europe, the Nordics and CEEMEA, along with the Eurosport business.
Currently based in Singapore, Keaveny is responsible for all aspects of Discovery’s Singapore-based operations for Asia-Pacific, including a portfolio of eight factual and lifestyle entertainment brands. Keaveny is charged with the strategic growth and development of Discovery’s business in the competitive Asia-Pacific marketplace. Keaveny currently sits on the CASBAA Council of Governors.
Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific says it has begun the search for Keaveny’s replacement, looking internally within the Discovery family as well as externally for the new head of Asia-Pac.
