Thailand – GMM Grammy announced its partnership with FOX International Channels (FIC) to bring FIC’s international content, including 27 new channels, to GMM Z’s platform. The platform will be starting with STAR World on Z Pay TV, GMM Movie Channel 400. Prior to this, GMM Z had licensed three channels from FIC including Nat Geo Adventure, Net Geo Wild and FOX Crime. STAR World will be its latest acquisition to the platform.

We are now moving forward by bringing in new content that has been very popular among consumers around the world from FOX International Channels.”
“With great potential that we have, we are happy to have FIC as our partner on this regard for which the company will allow us to acquire 27 channels for GMM Z platform making GMM to be the first pay TV network to acquire biggest number of channels from FIC. And we can start broadcasting them faster than any other platform. We will begin with the prime time period of “STAR World” which will be broadcasted on GMM Movie Channel 400 for 12 hours a day. The channel has, on May 17, telecasted one of the world’s most popular music reality shows like the final round of American Idol Season 12. And there will be a lot more in June starting with Got To Dance, America’s Next Top Model S20, Miss USA 2013 and many more. The programs from STAR World will strengthen GMM Movie Channels in terms of its content for which when it becomes more popular, the channel can have the potential to become international channel just like STAR World.” added Rafa.
