The magazine entertainment series The Gadget Show, which caused a splash at MIPCOM 2012 when the convention was asked to register its first talking Robot as an official attendee, has been picked up by Korea’s Channel IT (part of Korea HD Broadcasting Corp) on the eve of MIPTV 2013 through a deal with ALL3MEDIA International’s Stephen Driscoll.
The Gadget Show, produced by North One Television, is one of Channel 5’s most successful TV shows and has always had a big online and digital presence. It will showcase its latest technology at this Year’s Gadget Show Live, taking place this week.
Korea HD Broadcasting has also picked up two more series, also produced by North One, from ALL3MEDIA International with a similar Gadget theme – Stephen Fry’s 100 Greatest Gadgets and six-part series Stephen Fry: Gadget Man where Fry shows how the humdrum of our daily lives can be spiced up with an injection of awe-inspiring gadgetry.
Korea HD Broadcasting Corporation’s CEO, Sung-Gil Moon said: “We are thrilled to launch All3MEDIA International’s new gadget series on Channel IT, the only IT-specialty channel in the world. We’re also glad to establish new partnerships with ALL3MEDIA International, and looking forward to license quality programs continuously.”
