Cannes – FremantleMedia Kids & Family and Mattel, Inc. announced that they have green lit a second season of the action-comedy animated series Max Steel following its global success. The second season will contain twenty-six 30-minute episodes, bringing the total number of episodes available to 52.
The first season of Max Steel, based on the Mattel franchise, is currently being launched around the world. FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has secured additional sales to major markets including: The UK (Nickelodeon), Australia (Channel 9), New Zealand (TV4), Canada (Teletoon), Singapore (MediaCorp’s okto), Belgium (VMMA) and the Philippines (ABS-CBN).
The series is co-produced by Mattel and FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment with Nerd Corps Entertainment serving as the animation production studio. FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment manages worldwide distribution of the series (excluding the U.S.), as well as global home entertainment rights, with Mattel holding U.S. television distribution rights.
