COMPETITIONS & AWARDS
MIPDoc’s International Pitch competition was won by Saxonia Entertainment’s Putin’s Olympics documentary about Russia’s successful bid for the 2014 Olympic Games.
MIPFormats International Pitch award went to Australia’s Hatch Entertainment for Big Again.
MIPCube’s Content 360 competition for cross-media content sponsored by Russia’s CTC Media was won by Australian Alex Alexander for his transmedia drama project Step 1.
Six international television executives received the inaugural MIPTV Médaille d’Honneur award from Reed MIDEM CEO, Paul Zilk, for their outstanding contribution to the industry.
At the International Digital Emmys, Australia’s dirtgirlworld… dig it all – a co-production in collaboration with mememe productions, dirtgirlworld productions and Screen Australia, won the Children & Young People category. Canada’s Guidestones won the Fiction category while The Netherlands’ Entertainment Experience clinched the Non-Fiction category.
