Beyond Distribution is set to launch 100 hours of content produced by Beyond Productions, Beyond Action and Beyond Screen Production at MIPTV. New series include social documentary series Hidden In America (6 x 60’), produced for Destination America and children’s edutainment series History Hunters (26 x 30’), commissioned by Super RTL, TV Ontario, ABC Australia and Seven Network Australia. Returning series include MythBusters 8 (30 x 60’), Dark Minds 2 (8 x 60’), Toybox 4 (45 x 30’) and Rush TV 4 (23 x 30’).
“We are especially excited about Hidden In America and everyone’s favourite MythBusters. Also, having commissioning broadcasters return for successive series and to commission new series, speaks volumes to the success we have had with sales of all our children’s titles. History Hunters has received various offers without us having even launched or pitched as yet,” said Munia Kanna-Konsek, Head of Sales for Beyond Distribution.
Hidden In America goes behind the doors of the most iconic and closely guarded subcultures. From doomsday cults to biker gangs, from underground fight clubs to suburban swingers; Hidden In America shines a light into the most secret corners of American society. Using expert analysis and unseen archive footage, this series goes where other shows fear to tread; revealing the secrets of outlaw gangs, strange sects and forbidden subcultures and giving an insight into society’s mysterious underbelly.
Following the success of the factual children’s series Backyard Science and Kid Detectives, Beyond Productions presents History Hunters. Fast-paced, funny and full of facts, History Hunters brings the fun into history, and guarantees parents and their children will discover that the past was weird, wacky and fascinating! From the innards of a travelling globe, our two hosts hunt through history to discover what life was really like, exploring some of the strange and wonderful things that went on in ancient life. Each episode sees children as pint-sized History Hunters tackle missions to match, make and explore customs, inventions and discoveries from history.
