China Business Network (CBN), the all-business news channel focusing on China, has launched on Singapore’s StarHub TV channel 809 on December 18, 2012, at 9am. A press conference was held at StarHub Green building to commemorate the launch where partners Huawei, China International School and MyChinaChannel were also present.

CBN, which is under the Shanghai Media Group (SMG), dishes out professional financial and business information, and offers up-to-date and accurate news updates in Mandarin. The introduction of CBN will augment StarHub’s already strong news offerings which include Bloomberg TV, CNBC, CNN and CCTV News. CBN will be of interest to some 1,500 China enterprises based in Singapore. SMG’s exclusive overseas partner, MyChinaChannel, will assist with the logistics and production aspects of the network.
Some of CBN’s key programmes include Morning Express, World Markets, CBN Tonight, Global Business New, Boss Town, Insider Insights, Managing China, CBN Global Link, and Style Focus. These programmes engage viewers in terms of their economic, social and cultural facets, and offer useful insights into the business world of China.
The addition of CBN brings the total number of complimentary channels on StarHub TV to 14. These channels include Bloomberg Television (StarHub TV Channel 708), Jiangsu Satellite Channel (StarHub TV Channel 830), E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825), and the all-new ESPNews (StarHub TV Channel 207), which will be launched on 14 December.
To cater to busy professionals, CBN will be made available on StarHub TV on Mobile and on the internet at starhubtv.com via the TV Anywhere service.
