Oliver Herrgesell has joined Turner Broadcasting System International as Senior Vice President of Communications, where he will serve as Turner Broadcasting’s chief communications and public relations executive in markets outside the U.S. He is in charge of developing communications strategy and overseeing execution of messaging related to Turner’s international business portfolio and industry position. In addition, he will work closely with President of Turner International, Gerhard Zeiler, and communications colleagues in U.S. to integrate and align on programming and other initiatives that cross the Turner Broadcasting portfolio.

Herrgesell will be based in London at the company’s EMEA headquarter with public relation staffs in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Herrgesell served as executive vice president of communications, public affairs & marketing for RTL Group in Luxembourg from 2006 until earlier this year. Prior to that, he was chief press officer and head of internal communications for Bertelsmann AG, following a career in print with newspapers Die Woche, Berliner Zeitung and the magazines Wiener, Tempo and Stern. He also produced and wrote television programmes for ORF and Premiere/Sky Deutschland. He has received awards for excellence and innovation in journalism.
