Hong Kong – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has sold the format of its multi-topic magazine talk show, The Dr. Oz Show, to TRANS TV in Indonesia. TRANS TV will produce the local version of the talk show, which will consist of at least 60 episodes to air daily during daytime. The show is slated to launch in early-2013.
“The sale of The Dr. Oz Show format to TRANS TV reaffirms that there is a growing potential and appeal in Asia-Pacific for U.S. talk shows with universal themes such as health and wellness,” said Angel Orengo, Executive Vice President, Distribution, Asia-Pacific, SPT.
“TRANS TV is very pleased and excited to be working with Sony Pictures Television on this production. We believe The Dr. Oz Show has become a household name across America and has helped many people with the various health and lifestyle issues of today.
