Toronto – Kidscreen Awards 2013, the global kids television industry’s leading awards for excellence, has announced the shortlisted entries in the Programming Categories that will be continuing in the competition through a final round of judging.
From Asia Pacific, Guess How Much I Love You, co-produced by Australia’s SLR Productions and Singapore’s Scrawl Studios alongside KI.KA, Hessicher Rundfunk and TFO, has been nominated for Best Animated Preschool Series, and Dance Academy, co-produced by Australia’s Werner Film Productions, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation has scored a nomination for Best Companion Website in the Tweens/Teens category.
Other nominees include Tree Fu Tom (CBBC and FremantleMedia Enterprises, in association with Blue Zoo) for Best Animated Preschool Series, Yo Gabba Gabba (Wildbrain Entertainment) for Best Non-Animated or Mixed Preschool Series and Adventure Time (Cartoon Network Studios) for Best Animated Kids Series.
These shortlisted entries will be reviewed and assessed by a fresh panel of judges, including the following execs: Kay Benbow (CBeebies), Michael Carrington (Turner Broadcasting Europe), Lana Castleman (Kidscreen), Keith Dawkins (TeenNick) and David Levine (Disney XD Worldwide).
All winners will be announced at a special presentation event and after-party during Kidscreen Summit, on the evening of Wednesday, February 6. Kidscreen Summit delegates are invited to attend as part of their event registration.
