Singapore – The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia (TWDC – SEA) (please check correct abbreviation) has appointed Chris Marsh as General Manager, Studio Entertainment reporting to Robert Gilby, Managing Director, TWDC – SEA. Marsh will oversee all movie distribution, LIVE events and marketing across Southeast Asia for live-action and animated films from Disney, Pixar and Marvel studios.

With the integrated Disney Southeast Asia (TWDC SEA) organisation in place, Marsh will work closely with other lines of businesses to expand key partnerships and marketing synergies while increasing the reach of the Disney and Marvel brands.

“Content and experience are key drivers of theatrical outings for families everywhere. Chris brings in a great combination of international franchise management experience and cross-functional studios knowledge to support Disney’s brand building initiatives and in growing the studios business in Southeast Asia,” said Mr. Gilby.

A seasoned professional in the entertainment industry, Marsh joins the Southeast Asia team from Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. He joined Disney in 2005 where he was last responsible for the in-home retail sales business for the international markets.
