ABC Commercial’s Lance Armstrong to broadcast on CNN

October 26, 2012 by TVA Editor

ABC’s 45-minute Lance Armstrong documentary, The World according to Lance, has sold to CNN in the U.S. to be broadcast this Saturday, October 27 in primetime.

Further territories sold to date include VRT (Belgium), TV2 (Denmark), TV2 (Norway), NOS (Netherlands), Globosat (Brazil), CBC (Canada), M-Net (South Africa), Prime (New Zealand) and Argentina. These sales have contributed to the program becoming Journeyman’s best selling documentary yet.

The deals have been signed in light of the International Cycling Union’s decision to strip Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles and ban him from cycling for life. Armstrong maintains he has never used performance enhancing drugs and claims to have never tested positive in drug tests.

The World according to Lance interviews people who worked for Armstrong, rode with him and some who raced against him. Their story describes a ruthless competitor who will do anything to win races and a man prepared to malign former friends and employees if they dare to cross him. They also reveal stories detailing over ten years of drug use that began before he was diagnosed with cancer.
