Q: Who is it for?
A: The app is for anyone who is tech-savvy and has an appetite for knowledge and trivia. They can play individually or against their friends.

Q:What does it do?
A: Ultimate History Quiz challenges players’ knowledge related to people, places and events from both Asian history and world history. It’s engaging, interactive and educational. The questions in the brainteaser are by no means easy and we hope that players are able to pick up information that they never had as well as to have a good time with the app.

Q: Where would it be made available?
A: Players can download the game application for free on their iPhone, iPad (at any iTunes store) and on selected Android devices. The quiz can also be played on computer desktops via www.historyasia.com and mobile web. We’ve designed this game for high accessibility. We want players to engage with it anywhere, anytime.

Q: When will it be available?
A: From October 1st 2012.

Q: Why a HISTORY app?
A: It’s a new and exciting way to engage with history – to test your knowledge and be challenged with new information. We are a leading factual entertainment brand that not only delivers engaging content on television, but also via these types of apps and web and mobile content. It’s another way of making HISTORY available everywhere and anywhere.

Q: How do you play it?
A: You can choose to play a single or multi-player mode. You’d be given ten questions to answer, with 20 seconds to answer each question. The quicker you answer correctly, the higher your score. We have created thousands of questions so the game can be enjoyed many times by an individual.

Q: This app supports multi-screen usage (phones, tablets, PCs). Is this a new strategy to reach out to audiences of HISTORY?
A: We are living in an evolving technological landscape and HISTORY has been focused on our digital strategies to ensure we’re reaching existing and new consumers on the platforms they are engaging with most often. So it makes absolute sense to not only create an online quiz but also have an app for the Quiz as a portable engagement device.

Q: Does Ultimate History Quiz go beyond questions related to HISTORY programming?
A: Yes, definitely. Players will be challenged with questions ranging from world history, general knowledge, Asian history and pop culture.

Q: How are you bringing this app to your audience? Is this available only through HISTORY sites or will affiliates get in on the promotion as well?
A: Outreach is part of the plan and the Ultimate History Quiz will be introduced to schools and affiliate partners to encourage learning history in a fun way.
