Carlos Perez Davila is stepping down as President of Caracol Television. Mallarino Gonzalo Cordoba, who is now President of the Board of The Spectator and current Member of the Board of Caracol Television, will take over the role.
Davila resigned after leading a restructuring and modernisation process that transformed the company.
In his 18 months as President, Davila was responsible for consolidating the company’s various business units and preparing the company for the challenges of the industry. He also transformed the structure of the news and digital platforms, and conceived and led the project that will allow the Santo Domingo Group return to the world of Radio.
Alejandro Santo Domingo, as representative of the shareholders, highlighted Davila’s achievements: “In just a year and a half, Carlos reached the goal we had set – transform Caracol and prepare for the challenges ahead.” Santo Domingo added that Davila will now chair the company’s Board of Directors.
