Production of Nim’s Island Two: The Invader, the sequel to Nim’s Island, has commenced, with Bindi Irwin (Free Willy: Escape from Pirate’s Cove)—the daughter of The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin—playing the lead role.
Nim’s Island 2, based on Wendy Orr’s novel Nim at Sea, picks up three years later and takes the adventure back to the island, which is once again facing threats from the outside world. The film is being helmed by award-winning director Brendan Maher (Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, MI-5, The Secret Life of Us), and produced by Paula Mazur (Nim’s Island, Corrina, Corrina) and Chris Brown (Daybreakers, The Proposition).
