The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominations list for the 64th Primetime Emmy® Awards. TV Asia Plus highlights some facts and figures:
Networks
- HBO is the network with the most number of nominations – 81 in all!
- CBS is 2nd with 60 nominations.
- PBS is 3rd with 58 nominations.
Programmes with most nominations
- Modern Family: 14 nominations (COMEDY SERIES )
- Mad Men: 17 nominations (DRAMA SERIES )
- American Horror Story: 17 nominations (MINISERIES)
- Hemingway & Gellhorn: 15 nominations (MADE FOR TELEVISION MOVIE )
- Saturday Night Live: 14 nominations (VARIETY PROGRAM)
- The Amazing Race and Dancing With The Stars: 7 nominations (NONFICTION/REALITY PROGRAM)
The academy also unveiled the key art for the 64th Primetime Emmy® Awards. The key art sparkles with a clean, bold illustration of the Emmy statuette, set upon a royal blue nighttime sky.
The Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 23 (8:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET) on ABC and will originate from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The telecast will be produced by Don Mischer Productions and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
