Singapore – BBC World News has announced Mishal Husain Meets, a new series that profiles six well-known Asian personalities, including scientists, actors, sports personalities and artists. Filmed at the NYU Tisch School of The Arts in Singapore, the six-part series will be fronted by BBC presenter Mishal Husain and will find out what it takes to launch a successful business and career—from the astrophysicist who put the first Malaysian astronaut into space, to Singapore’s “zoo man”.

They trace their journeys to success through various significant moments in their lives and discuss the obstacles they’ve encountered along the way. These are tales of ambition, change and talent that will resonate with our audiences around the world,” said Mishal Husain, BBC World News presenter.
Mishal Husain Meets, broadcast in association with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, will premiere on Saturday, July 28 at 0930hrs and 1430hrs, and will feature Li Cunxin, a former elite ballet dancer whose life story was depicted in the Australian feature film Mao’s Last Dancer.
